Local baseball club the Lara Wildcats (Wildcats) has received a timely boost ahead of the launch of season 2023, successfully securing a sponsorship renewal with leading Geelong property developer, Bisinella Developments (the Company).

The deal is a major achievement for the Wildcats, with the funding to be invested in new sporting equipment for its junior, senior and women’s baseball teams.

The partnership between Bisinella and the Wildcats is now into its seventh year and forms part of Bisinella’s extensive and well-established community engagement plan.

Lara Wildcats Baseball Club President Jarrod Fraim said Bisinella’s ongoing support is extremely important for the club’s longevity.   

“The Wildcats has been established on strong community values, creating genuine pathways for children and our next generation of baseballers to pursue an active and healthy lifestyle,” said Jarrod.

“Securing the commitment from such a well-known company like Bisinella is a major result for our club, particularly in today’s heavily saturated digital world.

“It’s so refreshing to see Bisinella show community leadership to support and encourage people to get outdoors and involved in a great sport like baseball.”

Today Bisinella provides financial sponsorship to a number of clubs and organisations in the greater Geelong region.

The Company’s Managing Director Richard Bisinella said the Company is delighted to renew its sponsorship of the Wildcats for the upcoming season.

"For a long time we’ve valued and really believed in the importance of sport at grassroots and community levels,” said Richard.

“If we can continue to play a role where we proactively help more people, in particular children, to get involved in the community and sporting clubs like the Wildcats, then its absolutely something we’re interested in.”

The Lara Wildcats is part of the Lara Sporting Club and have more than 70 senior and junior baseballers.  The club entered a women’s team in the inaugural Geelong Baseball Association’s Women’s Baseball League in 2022 and has just begun the 2023 season.

Bisinella has sponsored the club since 2017.
