Geelong-based Bisinella Developments has continued its support for grassroots community sport, renewing its sponsorship of the Grovedale Tigers football and netball club for its 19th year.

Based in the heart of Grovedale, Geelong, the Tigers have a rich history, dating back to 1947, and are renowned in the local community for their professional and inclusive culture and welcoming atmosphere.

The teams currently play in the Geelong Football Netball League and welcome players of all ages to participate and enjoy the sports they love.

Grovedale Tigers committee member Jo Forssman says, as a not-for-profit organisation, the club relies heavily on support from its sponsors and volunteers to continue to operate, as well as maintain and upgrade its facilities.

“Sponsors and volunteers are the lifeblood of our club,” she adds.

“Their unwavering support is invaluable, enabling us to thrive as an organisation. We are incredibly fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who ensure that our players can take to the field or court week after week.”

Bisinella Director, Richard Bisinella is delighted to support the club and provide valuable sporting opportunities for the Geelong community.

“As a family business operating in the Geelong area for more than 50 years, supporting grass root sports is something close to our hearts,” he says.

“For Bisinella, our commitment extends beyond developing local communities through our projects, it also involves nurturing them, and the surrounding communities, for future generations.”

Jo says the Grovedale Tigers are looking to the future: “We aim to be the number one community sporting club of choice, known for our professional and inclusive culture, welcoming atmosphere and the way we respect and care for each other.

“We’re actively working on fostering an inclusive club culture and improving our facilities to make football accessible to all.”

She adds the club’s accessibility is already on the rise this season, experiencing a spike in registrations for football this year, of which almost half are girls, reflecting the increasing interest of women in the sport.

“Our amazing senior women set a great example, offering knowledge and encouragement to the younger girls joining our ranks,” Jo says.

The club is looking forward to the rest of the season as they continue to work hard and exemplify the club’s inclusive culture and vision of becoming the top community sporting club in Geelong.
