Construction and landscaping works are well underway at Bisinella Developments’ Lara Lakes Estate, a luxurious residential community in the suburb of Lara, Victoria.
Bisinella engaged Geelong-based Mexted Rimmer Associates to undertake landscaping works with the goal of creating a cohesive and visually appealing environment for residents to enjoy.
Mexted Rimmer is a firm of qualified, experienced, and committed landscape architects involved in a wide range of specialist work throughout Victoria and has a more than 30-year relationship with Bisinella.
Located in the Hovells Creek precinct, Lara Lakes has sweeping views of the You Yangs mountain range. Mexted Rimmer was engaged to enhance the natural elements of the area to create an imaginative, functional and cost-effective design solution for the local community.
Mexted Rimmer Designer Simone Knott said Bisinella’s enthusiasm to include interesting and diverse elements was key to creating a visually interesting environment, encouraging the community to explore the local landscape.
“One of the most impressive features of the landscape design is the community’s new lakefront park,” Simone said.
“The park includes a winding walking path that takes residents on a journey through the beautiful natural setting, complete with benches for residents to sit back and soak in the views.”
Simone added Mexted Rimmer wanted to create a landscape the community could enjoy both passively and actively.
“The integration of boardwalks, trails, pathways, play spaces and 'kick about' areas provide active play and exercise opportunities,” she said.
“We also included a variety of open spaces for residents to enjoy a picnic under shaded areas to relax and appreciate the reserves.”
Simone added the sculptural artwork of a soaring Kite crafted by Romanis Trinham Collaborations closely relates to the estate’s natural surrounds, with the majestic birds of prey often seen in the skies in area.
“The sculpture creates a sense of connection among community members and public enjoyment and interaction,” said Simone.
Bisinella Director Richard Bisinella said the landscape update not only improved the aesthetic appeal of Lara Lakes Estate, but also provided residents with new opportunities to connect with each other and the beautiful natural surrounds.
“With the help of Mexted Rimmer, the landscape works are transforming the development into a true home, providing a positive experience for residents and visitors,” Richard said.
Stage 7 of the estate has just been released with 31 lots available ranging from 436m2 – 715m2 and priced from $382,000.
