Committee for Geelong (CfG) member, Bisinella Developments, have offered three members of the Lara community scholarships to participate in the CfG’s first Activate leadership program of 2017.

This eight-week intensive program is designed to explore the fundamentals of leadership and give emerging leaders across the Geelong region an opportunity to build skills and develop strategies to lift their confidence, knowledge and leadership capacity.

Bisinella Developments are supporting the scholarships in the hope that they will strengthen the fabric of the Lara community and the capability of its key organisations in Lara.

Richard Bisinella, Development Manager of Bisinella Developments, said,

“The Committee for Geelong’s leadership programs have played an important role in inspiring and preparing the next generation of leaders in the Geelong region, and we are keen to do what we can to maximise the benefits of these programs for our growing Lara community.”

Bisinella Developments generate a significant portion of industry investment and development within the City of Greater Geelong and want to ensure that Lara’s emerging leaders are given opportunities to develop their leadership skills.

One of the scholarship winners, Bradley Ower, said “It is extremely important to me to receive the Bisinella Developments scholarship. It will allow me to give back to my local community, which has provided me with so many opportunities.”

Mukesh Jalwal, who will also receive a scholarship said “participating in the Activate program could be a crucial step in my self-development.”

The program’s foundation is based in developing strategic understanding of the challenges that face the Geelong region today.

Program participants will have access to a broad range of information and guest speakers that would otherwise not be available – elevating their contribution for personal, professional and community benefit.

The Activate program commences on Thursday May 11. For further information on the program, please contact Janelle Meyes, Leadership Coordinator, janelle.meyes@committeeforgeelong.com.au or telephone 5227 8073
